About Karen
Hi! I’m Karen and I have been capturing spontaneous, fun, true and natural wedding day memories for more than 17 years. My photos tell the story of a wedding – your wedding. I has been a professional photographer for 17 years based in Little Rock, Arkansas. More importantly, I am photojournalist. As a staff photographer for Arkansas’ largest newspaper, I have traveled throughout the country as well as abroad documenting the lives of others. I have now turned my documentary skills towards weddings. I was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995 with a degree specializing in photojournalism. I am member of the National Press Photographers Association since 1994 and from 2004-2009, I served on their Board of Director’s.
I am also proud member of the Wedding Photojournalists Association where I am an International Award-Winning wedding photographer. I am member of the prestigious The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. But in the end, paper awards don’t really mean that much to me. What matters most – what ONLY matters – is that I have happy clients. Check out my Reviews page to find out how happy they are. Working for a newspaper has taught me one very important lesson — be ready before the moment happens. Because with a wedding – your wedding – there are no do-overs. Sure, you can recreate just about any moment, but it’s just not the same. Customer service is also very important to me. I hate feeling blown off, brushed aside or made to feel less than important. It’s crucial to me to give my clients to best possible customer service. Therefore, I accept fewer than 25 weddings per year. If I’m available today, I might be booked next week. My wedding dates book up quickly so please don’t hesitate to contact me to inquire about your wedding date. I also have the greatest husband ever who is by best friend and my worst critic. He won’t settle for mediocrity and he is always pushing me to be a better photographer. My two children have four legs each….two really fat cats. I hope to hear from you soon.
